This includes improving the discovery rate of economic mineral resources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strategic and critical mineral commodities, carbon footprint reduction in steel production, alternative uses of mine tailings and mineral by-products, environmental impact reduction in mining, and direct capture of greenhouse gases through mineral carbonation.

Types of Scholarships:

Two types of scholarships are available for international students: the MRIWA Odwyn Jones PhD Scholarship, open to all applicants, and the MRIWA PhD Scholarship for Women, open exclusively to female applicants. Both international and domestic applicants are eligible for the women's scholarship.
